Letter to a client 6/4/2014

I received a message from a previous client today. She has a new 3 month old baby and needs help losing the baby weight.

Here's my reply to her. Thought I'd blog it in case it helps someone else out there too :)

Don't you worry sweetie - you will get the weight off, it's just going to take some time As you know the RESET 5-day cleanse is the best way to kick a sugar habit. But other than that I'm going to suggest keeping a food journal. For the first week or two don't scrutinize it, just create a habit of writing everything down each day. (To see more about the RESET 5-day cleanse go to www.gemmaraynefountain.usana.com)

Then see where you can ADD healthier things - perhaps an extra glass of water, and extra serving of veggies, etc. You want to ADD things first. Don't take anything away yet.

After a few weeks of ADDING good things think about taking one bad thing out and replacing it with a good thing (or a better thing). For example, instead of a coke, have a gatorade.

Make small improvements each week, and take it SLOW!!!!!

Then, before you know it, the gatorade will be the bad thing on your food journal and you can replace it with water, etc.

Don't try to go from 'bad' to 'perfect' overnight. Just try to go from 'bad' to 'better' in small steps so that you''ll be able to manage it.

Perhaps buy a few bags of the USANA Nutrimeal - it's $3.22 per shake, which is cheaper than a drive thru meal and is fast, convenient and HEALTHY!!!

Keep mixed nuts in your bag to snack on when you're starving. Buy whole grain pasta, brown rice, etc Get the frozen veggies to save on money and put them in EVERYTHING!

Get creative. You know what to do, it's time to have faith in yourself and to give yourself permission to do it in baby steps. One small goal at a time

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can help.
